1 Gallon F Style Metal Cans are cylindrical containers made of tinplate steel (tinplate) with a capacity of one US gallon (approximately 3.785 liters). They are commonly used to store a variety of liquids, including motor oil, chemicals, solvents, paint, and other industrial or automotive fluids. Their most distinctive feature is their sturdy wire handle, shaped like an inverted "F." One end of the handle is attached to a pivot in the middle of the can, while the other end features a retractable "F"-shaped hook that hooks onto the rolled edge opposite the can's opening.
