1. Preparation
Before cleaning, prepare rubber gloves, masks, detergents, soft brushes, rags, clean water and other tools. Operate in a well-ventilated place to avoid the odor of the detergent that affects your health.
2. Empty the remaining oil
Pour the remaining oil in the tank into a special recycling container to ensure that there is no residue in the tank to prevent pollution of the environment and affect the subsequent cleaning effect. If there are more precipitated impurities in the tank, try to avoid shaking the tank when emptying it, so that the impurities remain at the bottom and slowly pour out the cleaner oil on the upper layer.
3. Initial flushing
Inject an appropriate amount of clean water into the tank, cover the tank lid tightly, shake the tank vigorously, so that the clean water fully flushes the tank wall, and then pour out the water. Repeat this step 2-3 times to initially remove most of the residual oil and impurities in the tank.
4. Cleaning with detergent
Add an appropriate amount of special metal cleaner or mild alkaline cleaner, and then inject an appropriate amount of clean water to dilute it. After tightening the tank lid, shake the tank fully to allow the detergent to fully contact the tank wall. For stubborn stains, you can use a soft brush to scrub deep into the tank, focusing on cleaning the mouth of the tank, the bottom of the tank and other places where oil is easily left.
5. Secondary rinse
After the detergent has been used for a period of time, pour out the cleaning liquid and rinse the tank repeatedly with plenty of clean water until the water flowing out is clear and foam-free. Ensure that the detergent is completely rinsed and avoid residual detergent from contaminating the subsequent stored oil.
6. Drying treatment
Put the tank upside down on a clean bracket or shelf to let the residual water drain naturally. You can also wipe the inside of the tank with a clean rag, or place it in a ventilated and dry place to air dry. Ensure that the inside of the tank is completely dry before storing or reusing it to prevent rust.
7. Daily maintenance
Clean the residual oil at the mouth of the tank in time after each use, regularly check whether the tank is rusted or damaged, whether the sealing rubber ring is aging and deformed, and deal with or replace the problem in time to extend the service life of the oil tank.
