I. Targeted Cleaning Based on Residue Status

Undried Liquid Residue: For water-based paint, rinse repeatedly with clean water and a stiff brush. Fill the container with clean water and let it stand for 2-3 days to further dissolve the residue before rinsing again. For oil-based paint, soak in banana oil/thinner to dissolve, then wash with soapy water.

Dried and Cured Residue: First, fill the container with hot water to soften the paint film using the residual heat. Use a scraper or steel wool to scrape off large clumps. Stubborn marks can be cleaned with alcohol or alkyd thinner. Finally, rinse and let dry.

II. Special and Efficient Techniques
Completely dried and cured paint film can be peeled off in whole pieces by hand. Alternatively, leave the used brush in the container beforehand; once the paint is dry, you can lift the brush head to remove the entire paint layer, making the process more convenient.

III. Safety and Compliance Precautions
Ensure proper ventilation during cleaning: Wear rubber gloves and goggles, and keep away from open flames. Chemical waste generated during cleaning must not be poured directly into the sewer; it must be collected and disposed of as hazardous waste. Dry metal containers promptly after cleaning to prevent rusting.
