1. Pre-treatment for Reduced Load: Scrape out and collect all residual paint from the can, draining any remaining material beforehand. This significantly reduces the amount of cleaning agent needed and avoids wasting solvent due to excessive paint residue.
2. Staged Agent Selection for Enhanced Efficiency: First, use a water-based cleaner to dissolve water-based paint residue, then use banana oil/turpentine to specifically dissolve oil-based paint. This avoids mixing solvents and improves cleaning efficiency.
3. Soaking + Mechanical Assistance: After pouring in the solvent, cover and soak for 10 minutes. Use a long-handled stiff-bristled brush and steel wool to scrub the edges and corners. Stubborn, dried paint layers can be softened by soaking in hot water beforehand, reducing the amount of repeated scrubbing.
4. Safe and Closed-Loop Finish: Collect all cleaning waste liquid into a dedicated hazardous waste container. Finally, rinse thoroughly with soap and water, wipe dry, and place in a ventilated area to air dry quickly, simultaneously avoiding the risk of moisture re-entry.
