1. Sealing
After tightening the lid, gently press on the rim with your foot to ensure a tight seal. A more secure method is to place the sealed can in a plastic bag, tie it tightly, and submerge it in water to isolate it from air.
A small amount of remaining paint can be transferred to a small-mouthed bottle (such as a glucose bottle) and stored upside down for 1-2 days before being placed upright in a dark place. This will effectively prevent crusting and solidification.
2. Environmental Control
Temperature: Maintain between 5-35°C, avoiding high or low temperatures that can cause deterioration (for example, latex paint needs to be frost-proof, and metal paint needs to be fire-proof).
Humidity: Maintain a relative humidity of 40%-70%, avoiding damp environments that can cause mold or caking.
Store in a cool, dark, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and ignition sources.
3. Tool Storage
Brushes that will be reused for short periods of time can be soaked in water or kerosene and shaken dry before reuse.
